About the show:

Pretençión is a feeling, an idea, the place where Mystery sits at a table with Elegance, and Imagination orders a round of drinks before dinner. It is a world where those drinks are served by a pompous clown.

Join Pinchbottom (the ‘best burlesque’ in NY -New York Magazine, The Village Voice) on a sensual quest for Pretençión, an imaginary element that turns burlesque performers from ‘Ordinarios’ (ordinary people) into self-important ‘Extraordinarios’ (extraordinary people): infuriatingly magical, unendurably spellbinding artistes who peel away the mundane with every layer of clothing.
